Marketing Secret #88

Using The Right Computer Software

I know this chapter might be pointless to some people, however this is where you can waste the most money and time in business.

What area is that?

Automation.

As far as software goes, there is TONNES you can incorporate as part of your business processes to improve efficiency.  From Xero for accounting and finance, and project management software such as Click Up or Asana.  However, that’s not the kind of software that’s going to make you money.

The kind of software that makes you money are some of the powerful programs on the market.  This software tracks all your leads, prospects, clients, email and phone conversations, deals and potential deals, follow-up responses, and so forth.
Such software will:
(1) automate you,
(2) acts a virtual assistant and
(3) make sure the stuff gets done that needs to get done.

Imagine if you could save yourself 5 - 10 hours a week in marketing/sales admin, knowing that your tasks can be done without you.  If we quantified or gave a dollar value to each hour at $100 ph, you could save yourself $1000 week or $52K per year, by taking time to review and establish the right combination of software for you.

However, some of you will use excuses such as "I have no time to do that" or, "its too complicated".

For some of you, it can be as simple as, "where do I start?" or "I don't want to sit in front of a computer every day!"

Now this we can fix.

In my office, the only thing I do, and have done for years, is use my computer to connect with initial leads and prospects and then have my computer software and other people do the rest!

You see, the biggest issue for a Decision Maker is delegation. Many who do have computers like to sit around and play with creative applications and other fancy programs that are really nice and cute and do a good job…but those software programs don’t make you any money!

The point of the computer is to make money.

I’m going to be honest with you. Most high school and university kids, know more about computers than you’re probably ever going to know. We provide a service as a Work Integrated Learning provider with Queensland University of Technology, Australia.  In this program we have university students who are required to complete 100 hours as part of their course program in a real-work environment.  Since 2018 we have had more than 15 Year 2 or 3 university students come work with us.  How positive is this relationship for everyone involved.  We receive updated knowledge and skills to be used in our business, the student received real-life work experience and the university benefits with connections in the industry.

Delegation is a key to success, and delegating computer work is a bigger key to success. Please don’t make the mistake of thinking that you don’t need a computer, and then please don’t make the mistake of thinking that, if you have a computer, you have to learn how to run it all yourself and waste your time doing it.

You don’t make money sitting in front of a keyboard. You make money getting new prospects and reselling to your existing clients.

The moral of the story here is: If you do not have computer software -automation as part of your business system or infrastructure, you are losing money and time which you can't afford.
