We audited the full client journey and consolidated fragmented communications into a cohesive, design-led framework centred around a high-end coffee-table book that visually and narratively guides clients through Placemate’s story, philosophy and 5-stage process.

Clients now experience a clear, confidence-building journey aligned with the quality of architecture they are investing in, while Placemate’s brand perception, authority and premium positioning are significantly elevated.


Elevating Client Communication to Match Premium Architecture  

Placemate Architects have over three decades of experience designing considered, lifestyle-led residential homes, yet their client communication didn’t fully express the calibre of that work. While their process was structured and their documentation thorough, the experience for clients felt segmented — proposals, welcome information, process guides, finishes schedules and drawings all existed, but as separate pieces. Clients were required to interpret what mattered when, who was responsible for what, and how the overall journey unfolded. For Placemate’s clientele — typically busy, design-conscious homeowners making a significant life and financial investment — this created unnecessary mental load. At the same time, the emotional and visual impact of Placemate’s architecture wasn’t being leveraged early enough in the journey to build confidence, trust and excitement. Their homes were aspirational; their communication felt procedural. The opportunity was not to change the process, but to change how the process was experienced. By aligning communication with the way Placemate designs homes — considered, structured, and beautiful — the brand could guide clients with clarity while elevating perception, authority and emotional connection from the very first interaction.
